Gran Turismo 7 March Update: New Cars, Events, and Limited Decals!

GT7 update 144

Polyphony Digital just spilled the beans on the fresh content revving its engines for Gran Turismo 7’s upcoming 1.44 update, hitting the tracks on Thursday, March 28.

In a new vid, they’re dishing out the deets on three hot new rides sliding into this month’s update. No surprise there for the eagle-eyed fans who probably had it all figured out after Kazunori Yamauchi, the mastermind behind the series, dropped a teaser over the weekend.

Toyota GT-One (TS020) ’99

Let’s kick things off with the star of the show for most GT fans: the Toyota GT-One. This bad boy’s been a fan favorite since its debut in Gran Turismo 2, and now it’s making a grand entrance into the latest GT installment. We’re talking about the #3 beast from the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It was this close to snatching victory but got hit with a puncture in the final stretch, thanks to a little tango with the privateer BMW V12 LM. Talk about a heartbreaker! And yeah, you can bet your bottom dollar it’s gonna cost you a pretty penny at the Legends Cars dealer.

Audi R8 Coupé V10 plus ’16

Now, onto the newcomers from the Volkswagen Group. First up, we’ve got the second-gen Audi R8 strutting its stuff in V10 Plus trim. Sure, we’ve had the racing version since day one, but this is the first time we’re seeing the street-legal version of the second (and final) generation. With a beastly 601 horses under the hood from its 5.2-liter V10 engine, this ride means business.

Lamborghini Urus ’18

But wait, there’s more! Say hello to Gran Turismo 7’s first-ever SUV: the Lamborghini Urus. It’s like a bull in a china shop, packing a four-liter, twin-turbo, V8 punch. This ain’t your grandma’s SUV—it’s more like a luxury tank on wheels. And fun fact: it shares some DNA with the Bentley Bentayga. Who knew Lambo and Bentley were cousins?

Along with these new cars that can be found in the Brand Central and in the Legendary Cars dealership, the update also brings the following contents:

  • Extra Menu No. 37: Jaguar at the GT Café
  • Three new events in World Circuits
  • New location ‘Fukushima’ in Scapes mode
  • Exclusive decals for the Design Editor based on the Japanese anime series HIGHSPEED Étoile

See you on the track!
