The competition begins on August 21, with the fastest eligible players earning invitations to race during the third round of the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series in Singapore.
Gran Turismo 7 will host the Singapore Regional Time Trial Challenge from August 21 to September 4, 2026, with 12 players qualifying for an in-person exhibition race during the Gran Turismo World Series in Singapore.
The competition is open to eligible players from Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand, with online qualifying taking place through Gran Turismo 7’s Sport mode.
BMW M Hybrid V8 at Barcelona
The online Time Trial will use the BMW M Hybrid V8 ’25 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP Layout No Chicane.
Specified car settings and mid-speed BoP will be used, with tuning prohibited. Shortcut and wall-collision penalties can invalidate lap times.
12 players will qualify for the Singapore event
A total of 12 competitors will receive invitations to the 2026 Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup, an exhibition race held alongside Round 3 of the Gran Turismo World Series.
The live event takes place on October 3, 2026, at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Singapore receives six places in total. Four will come from the online Time Trial, with another two awarded through a separate offline competition.
Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea and Indonesia will each receive one qualifying spot.
Singapore also gets an offline qualifier
Players in Singapore have a second route into the event through an offline Time Trial at the Sony Flagship Store at 313@Somerset.
The offline competition also runs from August 21 to September 4. Its two fastest eligible participants will qualify for the October exhibition race.
Travel and accommodation are included
The 12 selected competitors will receive return economy travel to Singapore, accommodation for up to two nights, local transfers and meals during the GT World Series event.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, while competitors from Korea must be 19 or older.
The Singapore Regional Time Trial Challenge begins on August 21, with the qualified drivers heading to the Gran Turismo World Series event on October 3.
