Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Cars: Full List

Last updated: September 6, 2026. Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV will add 12 new cars across two free updates arriving in October and December. Six cars can already be identified from the announcement trailer, while the remaining six are still being kept secret by Polyphony Digital.

Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV will add 12 new cars before the end of 2026, forming one of the largest vehicle drops the game has received as part of a major update.

Polyphony Digital has confirmed that the first half of Spec IV arrives in October with six cars, followed by another six cars in December.

The complete official list has not yet been published. However, the announcement trailer shown during the September 3 State of Play clearly reveals six vehicles, including the return of the V10-powered BMW M5 E60, a classic Mugen Honda touring car and two very different Vision Gran Turismo machines.

Important: although six cars were shown prominently in the initial Spec IV footage, Polyphony Digital has not yet confirmed that those six specifically make up the October batch. Until the individual release lists are published, their exact October or December allocation remains unconfirmed.

BMW M5 E60

One of the most popular cars revealed in the trailer is the BMW M5 E60, bringing BMW’s naturally aspirated V10 performance saloon back to Gran Turismo.

Produced between 2004 and 2010, the E60-generation M5 used BMW’s 5.0-litre S85 V10 and produced around 500 hp. It remains one of the most distinctive M cars ever built and has not appeared in a mainline Gran Turismo title since Gran Turismo 6.

Its return has quickly become one of the most discussed elements of the Spec IV vehicle roster.

Honda MUGEN MOTUL CIVIC Si Race Car ’87

The trailer also reveals the return of the Honda MUGEN MOTUL CIVIC Si Race Car ’87.

Based on the third-generation Civic, the Mugen-prepared touring car competed in Japanese Group A racing and represents a very different type of historic racing machine from most of GT7’s modern Gr.3 and Gr.4 content.

Like the M5, the Mugen Civic previously appeared in Gran Turismo 6 and now returns after a long absence from the series.

Citroën 2CV Charleston

Spec IV will not be limited to performance cars. The trailer also shows the unmistakable Citroën 2CV Charleston.

The Charleston is one of the best-known versions of Citroën’s extraordinarily long-lived 2CV, combining the car’s famously modest mechanical performance with its distinctive two-tone bodywork.

Its inclusion is classic Gran Turismo: alongside GT race cars and high-performance machinery, Polyphony continues to preserve unusual and historically significant everyday vehicles.

Honda Stepwgn Spada

Another typically Gran Turismo addition is the Honda Stepwgn Spada.

Rather than another supercar or racing homologation special, Polyphony is adding a Japanese family minivan. The Stepwgn has been part of Honda’s domestic range for decades and continues Gran Turismo’s tradition of including ordinary Japanese vehicles alongside much more exotic machinery.

The exact model year and in-game specifications have not yet been detailed.

Mazda RX-VISION GT3 EVO

The Mazda RX-VISION GT3 EVO was already expected to reach Gran Turismo 7 before Spec IV was announced, and the new trailer now connects it directly with the upcoming major update.

Mazda and Polyphony previously revealed the updated RX-VISION GT3 EVO in August and confirmed that it would arrive in Gran Turismo 7 during 2026.

The EVO develops the existing RX-VISION GT3 Concept with revised bodywork and aerodynamic treatment while retaining Mazda’s virtual interpretation of a rotary-powered GT racing machine.

Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo

The sixth identifiable vehicle is the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, an all-electric virtual hypercar created through Xiaomi’s growing collaboration with Polyphony Digital.

Xiaomi unveiled the Vision Gran Turismo concept at Mobile World Congress 2026 after joining the Vision Gran Turismo programme.

The dramatically shaped EV follows the arrival of Xiaomi’s automotive business and builds on its existing relationship with Gran Turismo, which has also brought the road-going SU7 Ultra into the franchise.

The Vision GT uses an extreme aerodynamic design incorporating large channels through the body and an active underfloor concept, positioning it at the opposite end of the Spec IV spectrum from cars such as the Citroën 2CV.

What are the other six Spec IV cars?

There is already considerable community speculation around modern GT500 machinery, GT3 cars, Japanese classics and returning vehicles from older Gran Turismo games, but none of those should currently be treated as part of Spec IV.

Polyphony Digital has only confirmed the total number: 12 cars, split evenly between the October and December updates.

This page will be updated as soon as additional cars are officially revealed or can be reliably identified from new Polyphony Digital footage.

Six cars arrive in October and six in December

The official Gran Turismo website provides a clearer breakdown of the two Spec IV releases.

The October update includes:

• Manufacturer-specific Experience challenges
• Expanded Car Viewer
• Higher Collector Level cap

The December update includes:

• Six additional cars
• Autumn Ring
• Family Mode
• Shuffle Races
• Online Drift Trials
• The next evolution of Gran Turismo Sophy
• A new Power Pack difficulty level

Polyphony has also confirmed that Autumn Ring will not simply return unchanged. Gran Turismo 7 will include the familiar original layout alongside a new, significantly expanded configuration.

When will the full Spec IV car list be revealed?

The next major information drop is scheduled for October 3, 2026, during Gran Turismo World Series Round 3 in Singapore.

Polyphony Digital has specifically said that more information about the cars, circuits, modes and other content included in both Spec IV releases will be revealed during the event.

That makes October 3 the most likely point for the October car roster to be formally detailed, although Polyphony could reveal individual vehicles before then through trailers or social media.

Spec IV itself remains a free Gran Turismo 7 update, with Part 1 arriving in October and Part 2 following in December 2026.

For now, six of the 12 cars can be identified: the BMW M5 E60, Honda MUGEN MOTUL CIVIC Si Race Car ’87, Citroën 2CV Charleston, Honda Stepwgn Spada, Mazda RX-VISION GT3 EVO and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo.

The other six remain one of the biggest unanswered questions surrounding Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV.
