Final details are coming in about the games that PSVR2 will have at launch, and with it some more information about how the virtual experience with Gran Turismo 7 will be. For now, it seems that they are all good news and Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed them with these statements:
“We are very excited to launch Gran Turismo 7 for PS VR2! Thanks to a free update, players who have already purchased Gran Turismo 7 will be able to enjoy all cars and circuits in virtual reality like never before. GT7 in virtual reality takes advantage of all the advantages of the new generation functions of PSVR2. Thanks to eye tracking and foveated rendering, players will enjoy an impressive visual fidelity while competing with any of the more than 450 cars in the game. Two-player split screen races are not possible in VR, but all other circuits, including online circuits, will be available. Players will be able to experience the circuits exactly as in real life, from Nürburgring to Tsukuba. “
- Kazunori Yamauchi, President of Polyphony Digital
We hope we can access a PSVR2 unit and be able to tell you first hand about all this, possibly well into March. A possible GT7, PSVR2 and Direct Drive base combo would be something to consider.
The rest of the games with their respective gameplays and presentation videos can be seen in the Playstation post that has been published for this purpose.
See you on the track!
