Polyphony Digital has revealed the full Gran Turismo 7 August 2026 update, which launches on August 20 with four new cars, three World Circuits events and a new Scapes location.

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.71 launches on August 20, 2026, adding four cars, three World Circuits events and a new featured Scapes location.

Four new cars

Update 1.71 adds:

  • Caterham Seven Superlight R500 ’08
  • Hyundai IONIQ 6 N ’25
  • Toyota Chaser Tourer V ’97
  • Toyota Mark II Tourer V ’97

The Caterham Seven Superlight R500 brings another lightweight sports car to the roster, while the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N adds Hyundai’s high-performance electric saloon.

The Toyota Chaser Tourer V and Mark II Tourer V expand Gran Turismo 7’s selection of 1990s Japanese performance cars.

Three new World Circuits events

Update 1.71 also adds three races to World Circuits:

  • Japanese FR Challenge 450 at Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa
  • European Clubman Cup 600 at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP Layout No Chicane
  • World Touring Car 600 at Suzuka Circuit

Whistler added to Scapes

Whistler joins Scapes as a new featured Curation, adding more Canadian locations for Gran Turismo 7’s photography mode.

Update 1.71 launches August 20

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.71 will be available on August 20, 2026.

The update contains four cars, three World Circuits events and the Whistler Scapes collection. No new circuit has been announced for Update 1.71.

  1. Great! They added cars no one asked for! They need to stop adding useless cars no one will be driving after a day release
