We have been waiting because at the end of last year there were multiple statements and back-and-forth about what Polyphony Digital was or wasn’t doing regarding a hypothetical PC release. Kazunori Yamauchi gave several interviews in anticipation of the then-imminent release of PSVR2 and the compatibility of Gran Turismo 7, and his words were misinterpreted.
“That’s not correct. I said that ‘we are open to all possible options.’ So, while the probability of a PC version may not be zero, if you want to know what we’re actually doing, the answer is nothing. There’s nothing to talk about.”
This response left “Gran Turismo” fans with more questions than answers and has led to speculation about whether the game will be available on PC or not. While Yamauchi has neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of a PC version, his response suggests that there is nothing they are working on at the moment.
However, the “Gran Turismo” series has historically been exclusive to PlayStation consoles, so a PC release would be a significant deviation from the company’s strategy, although not contrary to other releases we have seen. The possibility of a PC version has been the subject of rumors and speculation for some time, and it seems that we will continue with them for some time to come.
