The new free update for Gran Turismo 7 will be available in June and introduces a new endurance-focused aspect to the game. Let’s hope the changes are not just a collection of related cars.
Gran Turismo 7 is about to get a whole lot more serious. During the Gran Turismo World Series 2026 Rd.1 – Milan, Polyphony Digital unveiled an exciting trailer or the upcoming June 2026 update, featuring five new vehicles that lean heavily into the golden age of modern endurance racing. The update, scheduled to drop on June 11, 2026, brings four cutting-edge LMDh/LMH prototypes and a functional safety car to the game.
The Lineup
- Ferrari 499P: Winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2023 & 2024).
- Peugeot 9X8: Renowned for its radical aerodynamic concept, which was later updated with a traditional rear wing to remain competitive.
- BMW M Hybrid V8: BMW’s flagship LMDh contender, featuring a twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain.
- Porsche 963: Multi-race winner, including the 24 Hours of Daytona.
- Porsche 911 Safety Car: The iconic track-prepared safety vehicle used to control the field during major international endurance events.
This update significantly narrows the gap between the virtual racing experience in Gran Turismo 7 and real-world FIA endurance racing. Whether you are a fan of Hypercar battles or want to recreate the intensity of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, these five additions are a massive win for the community.
