Everyone knows that the projects directed by Ian Bell are usually a roller coaster of emotions and unexpected twists, and in this case, with GTRevival, it’s going down the same path.
International media reports that the title from Straight4 Studios will no longer be called GTRevival. But the name is not the only thing hanging in the balance, as the publisher will also not be the one previously announced: Plaion.
These changes were announced at an exhibition that took place in Silverstone, where several members of the studio coincided with some English media outlets.
Loaded with updates regarding its development, the members of Straight4 Studios also seem to reveal that the need for VR in their simulator is leading them away from the initially planned game engine. Unreal Engine is not usually a good companion when it comes to including VR, and they are considering other options.
A few months before these decisions, they released a video showcasing the latest advancements.
All these updates only add more uncertainties about a title that, for those who know Bell, is known to be surrounded by a certain level of instability. It is supposedly set to be released at the end of the year on all platforms, but there is still a lot, a lot to be done. To start with, they need a name and a new publisher.
