Has iRacing been in Norway?

We got rumors (only rumors) of the destinations that iRacing staff has had during these last months and of new road tracks that could have been developing for their debut (or announcement) in the new iRacing S1 2022 season. You can join iRacing clicking here.

The lucky country would be Norway (again after Lankebanen) and the most likely tracks to make their jump to the simulator would be Valerbanen or Rudskogen, being the latter a much more likely candidate due to its larger extension, its multiple possibilities of use, its new design by Tilke and for being the central track of the Norwegian motorsport racing activities with better weather.

The current motorcycle and car racing track at Rudskogen Motorsenter is 3.254 km (2.022 mi) long, set in rolling forest terrain and considered technically demanding for drivers. The longest straight is 640 m (2,100 ft) and the elevation difference is 42 m (138 ft). Races for cars and bikes are arranged there in a variety of classes and the track is also hired out privately for corporate events and organisational training, for example for emergency services personnel.

While Valerbanen is available on Raceroom, for Rudskogen it would be the first appearance on any simulator. We’ll see how this rumor turns out in the end.

See you on the track!
