Heusinkveld has introduced the One SC, a new lightweight sim racing steering wheel developed around direct integration with the Simucube 3 ecosystem. Weighing just 1,060 grams including its integrated hub and excluding the quick release, the wheel combines a 4.3-inch Simucube touchscreen, magnetic push-pull shifters, dual clutch paddles and 23 configurable RGB LEDs. Pricing and a final availability date have not yet been announced.
The One SC brings Heusinkveld’s existing One steering wheel concept into the Simucube ecosystem with a particular focus on reducing rotational mass. Heusinkveld argues that a high-end Direct Drive wheelbase benefits from a light steering wheel because the motor has less mass to accelerate, stop and reverse as Force Feedback changes direction.
That positioning makes the One SC particularly relevant to the new Simucube 3 generation. With a Simucube 3 quick release fitted, the steering wheel connects directly to the wheelbase for an integrated installation, while an internal USB connector provides an alternative route for users running other wheelbases.
Heusinkveld One SC Weighs Just 1,060 Grams
Weight is one of the main specifications behind the new wheel. The Heusinkveld One SC weighs 1,060 grams including its integrated hub but excluding the quick release, making low rotational mass a central part of its design.
Heusinkveld uses a high-end composite structure that the company says provides strength comparable to aluminium at a considerably lower weight. The idea is not simply to make the wheel easier to hold, but to reduce the inertia that the Direct Drive motor has to overcome when producing rapid Force Feedback changes.
On a powerful wheelbase, that can be particularly relevant when reproducing fast steering corrections, kerb impacts and changes in front-end grip. Heusinkveld’s stated design goal is to avoid the steering wheel itself masking the characteristics of the wheelbase.
The grips are broad and sculpted to increase the contact area with the driver’s hands and reduce pressure during longer sessions. Heusinkveld has also designed the magnetic shifter paddles without sharp edges, while their length can be adjusted without tools.
4.3-Inch Simucube Touchscreen and 23 RGB LEDs
The One SC includes an integrated 4.3-inch Simucube touchscreen with mouse and trackpad functionality. This makes the display more than a conventional telemetry screen and gives the wheel a direct interface with the wider Simucube software ecosystem.
Around the front of the wheel are 23 configurable RGB telemetry LEDs. Eleven form the RPM bar, while each of the 12 physical pushbuttons also receives RGB illumination.
Configuration is handled through Simucube Tuner, allowing lighting behavior and telemetry information to be customized. That gives drivers the ability to use the LEDs for functions such as shift indication and identifying controls without taking their attention away from the track.

Controls Designed for Use Without Leaving the Wheel
The front layout includes 10 pushbuttons and two push rotaries positioned for access while driving. Two additional pushbuttons and a pair of seven-way switches bring the total to 12 physical buttons while adding further inputs for functions such as brake bias, traction control, engine maps or in-car menus.
Heusinkveld says the buttons and rotaries use relatively high actuation forces to reduce accidental inputs. Interchangeable button caps also allow drivers to reorganize the control layout around their preferred simulator or car.
At the rear, the One SC uses magnetic two-way shifters capable of both push and pull operation. Dual clutch paddles are also included, with all of the rear paddles using Hall sensor technology rather than mechanical position sensors subject to physical contact and wear.
That combination makes the wheel suitable for modern GT, prototype and Formula-style cars where a large number of functions need to remain accessible without moving a hand away from the steering wheel.
Direct Simucube 3 Integration, But Not Locked to Simucube
The most important difference in the One SC positioning is its relationship with Simucube 3. When fitted with a Simucube 3 quick release, the steering wheel connects directly to a Simucube 3 wheelbase, creating a cleaner installation without requiring a separate external USB connection.
However, Heusinkveld has deliberately retained broader compatibility. An internal USB connector can be used for passthrough or routed externally, allowing the One SC to operate with other wheelbases.
The steering wheel also provides both 50.8 mm and 70 mm mounting patterns, making it possible to adapt it to different quick-release and hub configurations.
That means the One SC is designed primarily around Simucube 3, but it is not technically restricted to Simucube hardware.
A Lightweight Wheel for High-End Direct Drive Systems

The One SC arrives at a time when premium Direct Drive wheelbases continue to increase in torque, bandwidth and responsiveness. Simucube 3 itself covers increasingly powerful hardware, making steering-wheel mass an important consideration for users trying to extract the maximum response from the motor.
Heusinkveld’s approach is therefore different from simply adding more screens, controls or metal components. The One SC combines a relatively extensive control layout with a deliberate effort to keep overall mass low.
At 1.06 kg before the quick release, the wheel is intended to allow a high-end Direct Drive system to change direction quickly without having to overcome unnecessary steering-wheel inertia. How noticeable that difference is compared with heavier premium wheels will ultimately require direct testing on the same wheelbase and Force Feedback settings.
The inclusion of native Simucube 3 integration also makes the product particularly interesting for existing Simucube owners who want a wheel designed specifically around the newest ecosystem rather than adapting a generic USB steering wheel.
Heusinkveld One SC Price and Availability
Heusinkveld has not yet announced a retail price or confirmed when the One SC will begin shipping.
The company has opened a notification form for customers who want to be informed when the steering wheel becomes available. Until a final retail listing appears, the One SC should therefore be treated as announced but not yet available to purchase.
