Daniel Steinemann has created this simple script for Windows to be able to create phantom laps of your workouts. Something very useful when you need to share information with other members or simply remember how to do certain traces with each car.
This tool works as follows:
- With just a double click it opens
- You start the simulator, do your laps and get out.
- You press any key and the olap and blap files are created
- All this within Documents\iRacing\lapfiles
- Share with your friends.
How to install
- Extrack the .bat file to your desktop. Tested on Windows 7 and Windows 10
How to import
If you receive for example three com files:
- 139865_daytona2011road_fr500s.olap
- 139865_daytona2011road_fr500s.olap
- 139865_daytona2011road_fr500s.sto
In the file explorer look for the lapfiles folder that belongs to daytona2011 in this case and the same but in setups for the .sto file
In the simulator on the specific track go to Options and again under Options and load Split time delta and select the olap or blap laps.
Once in the car use the tab key until you have the delta that indicates “vs. Comparison Lap/Sector”.

See you on the track!
