First news that will arrive in the last season of the year on iRacing. In a post made by an official member of iRacing in their forums, they clarify that the GTE Endurance will become the IMSA Endurance Series.
This series will be a team race series (minimum 2 drivers) and will be run in the same time block as the current GTE Endurance. Every 2 weeks, races of 2 hours and 40 minutes in length will be held on Saturdays and Sundays (in 4 time blocks). In addition, this series will have the same cars that race the IMSA Hagerty and will be race on the same circuits as the sprint series.
Thanks to this modification, we will have races more similar to the real ones, since in the real series many races of 2 hours and 40 minutes are run. On the other hand, the influence of the IMSA SportsCar Championship is very noticeable in iRacing, since they are taking care to be the official simulator of the competition like NASCAR and IndyCar.
We will see what more news this association brings us in the future, maybe new circuits or cars that participate in this category.
See you on the track!
