Asetek does not live by new products alone, but also by exploring what is happening in the market. Their analysis has led to the creation of a new, simpler range than La Prima. This range has great sales potential among those who are “starting out” in simracing.
Yesterday’s video with André Eriksen showed what Asetek Simsports has planned for the coming months in terms of expansion. The new product line, positioned below La Prima, allows access to a market that the Danish brand had previously overlooked. The name Initium is more than self-explanatory for those of us who speak a Latin-derived language and aims to be the first line to feature console-compatible products.
Presumably, Xbox will be the first to receive a compatible base, but we will confirm that when the time comes. For now, what has been announced is also groundbreaking, as Asetek’s first cockpit falls within this Initium line, offering a competitive price given the global market context.
The Initium cockpit is expected to be priced at around 399 euros/dollars excluding VAT.
