Introducing Red Bull Ring and Mercedes-AMG GT2 in Assetto Corsa Competizione’s GT2 Pack DLC

Officially released for all players, this GT2 category DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione has been confirmed, via social media, to include the addition of the Red Bull Ring circuit.

Red Bull Ring in Assetto Corsa Competizione

The Red Bull Ring is a racing circuit located in Spielberg, Austria. Spanning approximately 4.3 kilometers, the track features a combination of fast straights and demanding curves. Its design allows for high speeds, featuring a long main straight and challenging turns such as “Remus” and “Rindt.

The track is characterized by its mountainous surroundings and provides ample runoff areas. Moreover, the Red Bull Ring has hosted prominent motorsport events, contributing to its reputation as an exciting and technical circuit on the international calendar.

Mercedes-AMG GT2

Naturally, to further complete the lineup, Assetto Corsa Competizione introduces another GT2. In this case, the Mercedes-AMG GT2, based on the street version Mercedes-AMG GT R, comes with a series of modifications to enhance its performance in competition.

The engine is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 developing 707 horsepower. The transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. It features independent suspension on all four wheels with competition-grade shock absorbers, and the brakes are ventilated ceramic discs.

The aerodynamic design of the Mercedes-AMG GT2 is optimized to generate significant downforce. The car boasts a large rear wing, rear diffuser, and front splitter. Weighing 1,500 kg, it results in a power-to-weight ratio of 2.1 kg/HP, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.

For now, here is the list of vehicles that have been announced and those that are still pending:

  • Maserati MC20 GT2
  • Mercedes-AMG GT2
  • Audi R8 LMS
  • Brabham BT63 GT2
  • Porsche 911 GT2 RS
