We are all set. Here’s the new season with free (and paid) road tracks and cars, IA racing roster improved, etc. The complete release notes are available in a post published yesterday.
It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for: a massive new iRacing build! From new cars and tracks to an expansive set of new AI content and a complete overhaul of dirt racing, 2023 Season 3 has a little something for everyone. Here are just some of the major new releases and features included in this build:
- Cadillac V-Series.R GTP: Our latest challenger from the top of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship joins the fray as the fastest of three new sports car releases.
- Porsche 911 GT3 R (992): Porsche’s updated GT3 challenger breaks cover for Season 3, replacing the 991-based model across the sim.
- Ligier JS P320: iRacing’s first LMP3 brings the thrill and challenge of entry-level prototype racing to sim racers worldwide.
- MotorLand Aragón: Our latest Spanish track features a whopping seven configurations, headlined by its 3.321-mile, 18-turn Grand Prix layout.
- Willow Springs International Raceway: One of California’s most historic and well-loved road circuits, this release also features our all-new 3D foliage system that makes tracks look more realistic than ever.
- Chicago Street Course: Before NASCAR hits the streets next month, we’ve got the revised 2023 Cup layout that they’ll be using for the inaugural Grant Park 220.
- Dirt Refresh: Our Dirt Taskforce completed a full overhaul of our dirt racing product, impacting everything from dirt ovals to off-road trucks. From track and tire wear parameters to rubber accumulation to dirt displacement, it’s our most realistic dirt simulation yet.
- AI Racing: Besides our new cars and tracks, five additional cars (both GT1s, the Ford GT2, Cadillac CTS-V, and Radical SR10) and numerous additional tracks have also been unlocked for AI use. In addition, AI rosters can now be included in Hosted sessions that feature heat racing!
- New Damage Model: The NASCAR Truck Series, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), all three Dirt Late Models, and Renault Clio R.S. V join our three new cars as having the NDM applied for 2023 Season 3.
- Feature Updates: A more accurate iRacing Spotter System, numerous graphic updates including Hide Cockpit Obstructions, and the new Audio Hot Swap function are among many feature updates.
