iRacing: 2024 Season 3 Patch 4 Release Notes

This Patch Release contains a variety of updates and fixes for the 2024 Season 3 Release.

iRACING:

My Account

  • For the My Account page, improved the button labels for Manage my Credentials and Manage My Subscription.

Security

  • All user credential management, such as email and password changes, are now handled through the iRacing OAuth Account Management site. This is accessible through the Account menu item in the helmet menu of iRacing and iRacing Web.

SIMULATION:

AI Racing

  • AI Drivers have improved their rain racing lines at several tracks.

Physics

  • Fixed an issue where a vengeful blue pit lane cone or other trackside objects could sometimes reappear stuck on your roof, windshield, or face after they had been knocked out of position. We believe the blue cone picked up this habit after too many hours playing Half-Life.
  • Some physics crash-to-desktop logs have been updated.

Active Reset

  • The ability to enable/disable the Active Reset sounds has been added.
    • A new entry, “activeResetCueDisabled” has been added to the app.ini file. To mute all Active Reset sounds, set this value to “1”. To enable all Active Reset Sounds, set this value to “0” (default).

Controls

  • 360 Hz mode is now fully enabled for Simagic wheels. Your wheel needs to be on the latest drivers and firmware.
  • Support for vibrations of Conspit pedals has been added.
    • You can turn this on/off with the “vibrate pedal and rim” checkbox in the “Misc. Options” tab.

CARS:

BMW M4 GT3

  • Fixed an issue where the display was not showing what tire type is on the car.

Dirt Late Model

  • (Pro) – Tire wear has been updated.

Ligier JS P320

  • For the damage model, the stiffness of detached rear wing and engine cover pieces has been reduced.

Sprint Car

  • For the damage model, raised the leading edge of the nose hull and the edges of the body hull near the rear wheels to reduce the likelihood of grounding behavior.
  • iRacing setups have been updated.

TRACKS:

Mount Panorama Circuit

  • Fixed an issue with an invisible solid object lurking on pit road.

Happy Racing!
