iRacing and Original Fire Games have partnered to develop a new racing game targeting the casual racing market. The game, provisionally titled “iRacing Arcade,” is set for release in 2025 on PC and consoles, with iRacing as the publisher. This new project will build upon the infrastructure of Original Fire Games’ current title, Circuit Superstars, aiming to elevate the already engaging driving experience.
iRacing President Tony Gardner expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the quality and fun of Circuit Superstars. He emphasized that this collaboration is a strategic move to introduce new racing enthusiasts to sim racing, potentially growing iRacing’s future player base.
Carolina Mastretta, Co-Founder and Studio Director at Original Fire Games, echoed this excitement, noting that the success of Circuit Superstars demonstrated a market desire for arcade-style racing that stays true to motorsport. She believes that iRacing’s expertise and technology will significantly enhance their upcoming game.
Original Fire Games will lead the development, with support from iRacing in terms of technology and design experience. The game will feature an in-depth Career Mode and various racing options, appealing to a wide range of players. However, iRacing will not acquire Original Fire Games’ previous products under this partnership.
The upcoming game will join iRacing’s portfolio, which includes their core PC simulation, the World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing franchise, a new NASCAR game in 2025, and the futuristic off-road racing game ExoCross, set to release in July 2024.
Happy Racing!
