During the Daytona 24h, iRacing reached a historic milestone of 300,000 simultaneous active accounts, showcasing its continued dominance in the market.
Steve Myers, iRacing’s Executive Vice President, shared the news on X, highlighting that since 2008, the company has received internal emails with statistics on new registrations and active accounts every three hours.
We have an email that's been running since 2008, and it sends new signups and member totals every 3 hrs. It used to be called "stevenobugme," because Chris Page was sick of me texting him asking for the numbers. 🤣
Hard to believe I just got our first 300K active member email!

For the first time in 15 years, those emails reported the astonishing figure of 300,000 active users simultaneously.
With large-scale events, an engaged community, and recognition for its realism, iRacing’s future looks promising. This record not only marks a significant milestone for the company but also for the racing simulator market, solidifying iRacing as the undisputed leader in the field.
So, is iRacing dying? The 300,000 active accounts and its sustained leadership prove otherwise. If anything is clear, it’s that iRacing continues to accelerate forward with no signs of slowing down.
