iRacing – Dallara LMP2 Previews

iRacing has released a new publication showing a little more what would be the final product of the LMP2. This time, we see a screenshot from outside the car cockpit with more detail. We can see that the work is very advanced (maybe already finished) and from now on we can see a quite big attention to detail, something that iRacing does not spare.

The Dallara model is the P217 that is racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship series from 2017 to date and is being compared a lot with the Porsche 9191 Hybrid LMP1. In the actual series it competes against the Oreca 07 and Alpine A470 in its class (all using a Gibson GK428 4.2L V8 engine).

In addition to this content, they also announce that the Chevrolet Corvette C7 DP and the HPD ARX 01-C LMP2 will become part of the Legacy content and will cost $2.95 each. It was expected that they would retire the HPD to put the LMP2 in the Le Mans category, but they had not mentioned anything about the C7 DP, which makes us think that the new LMP2 will also replace the C7 DP in the IMSA.
