Months ago, the development of Knockhill was announced along with other behemoths such as Red Bull Ring, Hockenheim and Hungaroring. The track is a very little known circuit, most of us had probably forgotten about the development of this circuit. However, today has been published on iRacing’s twitter the first picture of the practically finished circuit.
Taking into account that there are only a few weeks left for the start of the next season, the 2022 S1, we can speculate that this track will arrive with the next build.

The most remarkable thing about this picture is that the Formula Vee is inside the pit garage, instead of the default position where the cars always appear on track. Will iRacing start implementing this in the next tracks like rFactor 2 already does? Actually, it would be nice.
Knockhill Racing Circuit is a racetrack opened in 1974 and located north of Dunfermline, Scotland. Despite its small size (2,092 metres), the circuit developed to host the main British motor racing categories: the British Touring Car Championship, the British Formula 3 Championship, the British Superbike Championship and the British Grand Touring Car Championship.
The Knockhill lap record is held by Ryan Lewis, who lapped in 47.039 seconds during the 2005 British F3 season in a Dallara F305. The facility also has karting and rallycross circuits, as well as an off-road course. However, it is highly unlikely that these configurations will make it to the simulator.
