Yesterday iRacing brought us the new scan of the Daytona circuit corresponding to the year 2021, preparing us for the Roar, the Daytona 24 and the Daytona 500. Now, they show us 3 new images about the development of the LA Coliseum oval circuit. Said track will host the opening race of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season in real life. And as we already know the link between iRacing and NASCAR, it will be the American simulator who will debut the circuit before in reality.
The real NASCAR Clash (the exhibition race that opens the season) will be held on February 6 at this venue in Los Angeles, California. A stadium that has hosted all kinds of sporting events such as football, soccer, baseball and even X-Games Rallycross events. And now it’s time to have its first NASCAR event.
Due to the size of the coliseum, the track will be only a quarter-mile, allowing for there to always be vehicles contending for positions, either lapped or for actual positions. It will even be smaller than the Bristol track. And with a rather compressed pit area. We will soon see how entertaining the races will be on this American circuit.
See you on the track!
