iRacing – Long Beach First Preview

As we were told a couple of months ago in the iRacing forums, the developers are working on finishing the Long Beach circuit they had released in a “tech track” version, that is, the whole circuit scanned, but nothing modeled or finished outside of what is the track itself.

They have not yet told us what date it will arrive (hopefully in the next season with Hockenheim), but what they have released has been a picture of what has been the development of it. A small image that shows little but at the same time shows a lot.

The legendary street circuit in Long Beach, California is currently one of the regular venues of the Indy Car calendar and the IMSA Sportscar Championship, but in the past received a variety of categories, including the Formula 1 from 1976 to 1983 and more recently the Formula E.

In the photo we can see the “traffic circle” (turns 2 and 3) with the Pacific Aquarium in the background. You can still see that the visual effects are missing from the fountain of the traffic circle.

See you on the track!
