iRacing has released the May 2025 development notes, and one of the areas with the most significant updates is circuits.
From the addition of a new international track to complete rebuilds and visual upgrades of existing ones, the simulator continues its commitment to realism and innovation. Below is a complete, organized summary of all circuit-related updates.
New Track: The Bend Motorsport Park
iRacing adds a new international circuit with the release of Shell V-Power Motorsport Park, also known as The Bend, located in Tailem Bend, South Australia, about 100 km southeast of Adelaide.
- Name: The Bend Motorsport Park
- Location: Tailem Bend, Australia
- Available configurations: 7 layouts
- GT Circuit length: 7.77 km (second-longest permanent road course in the world)
- Real-world series: Supercars Championship, GT World Challenge Australia, TCR Australia, Australian Superbike Championship
- Features: Mix of technical sections and fast corners, significant elevation changes, inspired by the world’s best circuits
Re-scanned and Fully Remodeled Tracks
Several tracks that were already part of iRacing have been re-scanned and rebuilt from scratch to reflect real-world repaving or infrastructure changes. These updates are free for users who already own the tracks.
Iowa Speedway
- Significant repaving in the turns
- Driving experience dramatically improved
Richmond Raceway
- No repaving, but extensive facility changes
- Entire circuit and environment remodeled
Sonoma Raceway
- Multiple scans required due to ongoing repaving
- Terrain captured via drone, using new 5-layer terrain shader
Worldwide Technology Raceway (Gateway)
- Oval layout updated to reflect real-world repaving
- Road course updates to follow
Charlotte Motor Speedway
- Incorporates changes from the 2018 Roval redesign
- Developed in collaboration with Speedway Motorsports
North Wilkesboro Speedway (Modern Version)
- First appearance of the modern version in iRacing
- Build follows earlier release of the 1987 historic version
Refreshed and Visually Updated Tracks
In addition to full remodels, iRacing has also updated several tracks with visual and artistic refreshes. These tracks were not re-scanned, but were nearly entirely rebuilt using modern tools, with enhanced textures, models, and surrounding details.
