With new hotfix update March 11, 2021, comes to iRacing the third GT4 and the third McLaren to the simulator. In this case it is the McLaren 570S GT4 and it has arrived just as, or even more secret, than the Lamborghini GT3 last season.
No promotion, no mysterious posts on social networks, no photos, no videos, absolutely nothing. Just an announcement in today’s patch release notes announcing the arrival of the new car.
The car will compete alongside the BMW M4 GT4 and Porsche Cayman GT4 in the IMSA Michelin Pilot series, where they will share the TCR class with the Audi.
It is a bit strange these movements that iRacing is having with the release of some pieces of content, without any promotion. Is it a matter of lack of budget, time, resources? No idea, but for a company whose main source of income is the sales of the simulator content, not promoting it is very strange.
