There are some rumors going around on social media from a few drivers claiming that iRacing might be adding more LMDh cars soon, joining the recently added BMW M Hybrid V8.
LMDh cars are the new prototypes that will compete in both WEC and IMSA starting this year. Some of the manufacturers that have already confirmed their participation in this category are Porsche, Cadillac, Acura, BMW, and Lamborghini. Currently, iRacing has some LMP2 and DPi models along with the BMW M Hybrid V8, but there has been no official announcement on whether they will be adding these new models that are already competing outside the simulator.
However, there are some clues on social media that suggest the addition of new models. For example, Renger van der Zande posted a response to a question on his Instagram account:
It’s not clear whether the content is already scanned or will be scanned soon, but it strongly hints at the addition of the Cadillac V-LMDh to iRacing. A similar thing happened a few weeks ago when Antonio Felix Da Costa retweeted a teaser showing the new Porsche 963 LMDh, along with a mention of the Trading Paints and iRacing decoration platform.
For all the sim racers… get your trading paint skills ready… freakin cool Porsche LMDH Livery coming up! @JotaSport @iRacing @tradingpaints @PorscheRaces pic.twitter.com/Q4S6K7vIsL

Right now, these are all the details we have on these new additions, but the rumors from some pilots on social media suggest that these cars may be added to iRacing soon.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for any official news from iRacing about adding new LMDh models.
