A new competition to bring the opportunity for top simracers of being a real race car driver. Toyota GR86 Cup and Zolder will be the weapons chosen for this occasion.

iRacing is please to announce a partnership with Racing Prodigy, a groundbreaking sports, entertainment, and media property, to help sim racers make their real-world motorsports dreams a reality through Racing Prodigy’s new Prodigy Racing League (PRL), the world’s first e2Real sports league. Registration opens today at www.racingprodigy.com for PRL’s first series, the PRL iRacing GR86 Cup Open Challenge, which will begin later this month. Top performers in the series, as well as numerous other PRL events through the rest of the year, will earn the opportunity to compete in Radical SR1s in the inaugural Prodigy Week at Atlanta Motorsports Park on October 30-November 1.

“At Racing Prodigy, we are lowering the financial barriers to enter motorsports to the same level of traditional sports. Gamers just need a console, mobile device, or PC with a wheel and pedals to participate in esports tournaments, which is how we open the sport we love from the few to the many,” Racing Prodigy CEO David Cook said in a release. “The PRL is the new home for racers of all backgrounds and abilities, where they can chase their motorsports dreams from the screen to the track. We believe everyone should have an opportunity to participate in motorsports, and today is a momentous step forward.”

Your first step on the e2Real ladder begins with the Prodigy Racing League (PRL) iRacing GR86 Cup Open Challenge. On June 19, 2023, the first-ever global esports tournament in the PRL kicks off. Using the iRacing platform, competitors will have the opportunity to showcase their racing skills by putting the Toyota GR86 Cup car to the test at the prestigious Circuit Zolder in Belgium.

Prepare for an intense competition as you vie for the coveted Prodigy Pass. This pass grants entry to Prodigy Week in November, where you’ll learn, train, and compete in our real-world racing event. It marks the first-ever award in the Prodigy Racing League, symbolizing your participation in this groundbreaking moment.

The Toyota GR86 Cup car presents an extra challenge in the tournament. With nimble handling, it demands precision to navigate Circuit Zolder’s long sweeping corner and hairpin bends. The Circuit Zolder is known for its undulating terrain, with elevation changes that add an extra dimension to the racing dynamics. The changes in gradient require drivers to adapt their braking points and throttle control, adding a strategic element to the races.

To join, you need a valid iRacing account, a Racing Prodigy free or premium membership, and the determination to prove yourself on the virtual track. All skill levels are welcome, offering a level playing field for seasoned sim racers and aspiring talents to make their mark in the PRL.

The Prodigy Pass is not the only award on offer. Official Partners, Asetek SimSports® and SIM-LAB, generously provide additional prizes, rewarding participants who showcase their racing skills.

Gear up for an unforgettable experience, seizing this historic opportunity to leave your mark in the PRL. Earn the first Prodigy Pass, securing your ticket to Prodigy Week in November.
