As we mentioned in the iRacing’s new patch post, among all the novelties, the new standout feature is the revamped shopping experience in the iRacing UI platform. Previously, we used the old (and beloved) web platform for purchasing cars and tracks of our choice.

Therefore, the folks at Massachusetts now proudly introduce their new Cart-Wallet functionality within the application. This update also brings new spectator features and download improvements.

The third patch for the iRacing 2023 Season 4 is here. Headlined by the new Cart and Wallet functionality in iRacing, this patch offers significant enhancements in the quality of life for users looking to make content purchases, access race sessions, report issues and errors, and more. The new features include:

Cart:

Introducing our new shopping cart! Cars and tracks can now be added to your cart from anywhere within iRacing where you see a cart icon. Access your Cart from any part of iRacing at the top right of the header, and you can make payments using iRacing Credits, iRacing Dollars, registered Credit Card, a new Credit Card, or Venmo. (Users who prefer to use PayPal will continue to pay through the iRacing Member’s Site for now).

Wallet:

The “Add Funds” button has replaced the previous “Reload” button. This button uses the new Cart feature, allowing you to add iRacing Dollars from within iRacing. New buttons for “Send Gift” and sections for “Promo Codes” and “Gift Cards” have also been added to the wallet, enabling iRacers to send iRacing Dollars to other users, check promo codes and gift cards, and redeem them.

Spectator Sessions:

The new “Spectator Sessions” button, located in the “Go Racing” section, makes it easier for users to watch other racers. Sessions are organized into Official, Hosted, and League tabs, with the same search, sort, filter, and favorite tools used elsewhere in “Go Racing.”

Downloader:

Our downloader has been consolidated into a dropdown menu with a new “Select Owned” function as the default selection. This choice includes all required updates, as well as all content updates you own.
