A new season is coming to iRacing and new pieces of content. Among them is the Australian circuit of Sandown, located in Melbourne. And this time iRacing presents a video where we can see the famous Australian V8 Supercars in this circuit.
The Sandown International Raceway is a 13-turn circuit located in the surroundings of the Sandown racetrack in Springvale, Melbourne, Australia. Due to its location, the circuit is basically 2 very long straights (899m and 910m) connected by a few small turns and 3 chicanes, making it a high-speed circuit.
Besides, the circuit was the location of the Sandown 500, one of the most important endurance races in Australia. On the other hand, drivers such as Jack Brabham, Jim Clark, Stirling Moss, Bruce McLaren and John Surtees raced in this circuit in its inaugural race in 1962, so it is a circuit with a lot of history in its track.
Undoubtedly, it is a very particular circuit that promises interesting races for all types of vehicles, especially single-seaters with low power and quite a bit of slipstreaming effect.
See you on the track!
