The IMSA virtual World Championship is returning for its second consecutive year to collaborate with iRacing. VCO (Virtual Competition Organization) and Michelin are set to prepare the world’s premier motorsport series: the IMSA Esports Global Championship.

Since its inaugural season in 2022, this global IMSA virtual competition has made a significant impact among SimRacing drivers and teams. The IMSA Esports Global Championship 2023 promises more of the same, with teams like Team Redline, BS+ COMPETITION, Coanda Esports, Williams Esports, and the defending GTD category champions, Apex Racing Team, competing for cash prizes and the overall championship title.
Now that iRacing features all-new hybrid GTP vehicles like the Acura ARX-06, BMW M Hybrid V8, Cadillac V-Series.R, and Porsche 963, along with their competitive GT counterparts, such as the BMW M4 GT3, Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO, and Ferrari 296 GT3, this competition promises to be even more exciting than its 2022 predecessor.
The series will allow professional simulation drivers and teams to establish close working relationships with many of the manufacturers competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, including Acura, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche.
IMSA Esports Global Championship Schedule
Just like in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship races, each race will have a duration of two hours and 40 minutes.
- Sunday, November 5th: Michelín Raceway Road Atlanta
- Sunday, November 12th: Watkins Glen International
- Sunday, December 3rd: Sebring International Raceway
- Saturday, December 16th: Daytona International Speedway.
The complete list of participants and more details about the 2023 IMSA Esports Global Championship will be announced later this month.
