Some format changes will be made to the USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000 series on iRacing with the start of Season 1 in 2023. The goal of these format changes is to clarify the North American single-seater ladder while also encouraging more participation.

USF2000 will also return to its regular every other hour format, with Indy Pro 2000 running at the same time. This will make running both races back-to-back much easier.
The most noticeable future change will be the alignment of both series’ schedules. Both series will take place on the same circuits and during the same weeks, mirroring the real-world Support Series format. We are also changing the scheduling guidelines to include two ovals and ten road courses. In the coming weeks, our team will collaborate with the community managers of both series to devise a strategy for how the community will vote on the schedule.
Other minor changes include the fact that both series will now be lap-based. The USF2000 series will continue to have 15-minute races, while the Indy Pro 2000 series will have 25-minute races. The USF2000 series will continue to use fixed setups, whereas the Indy Pro 2000 series will continue to use open setups.
