As the iRacing development and testing teams work tirelessly to prepare for the Season 1 release of 2025, they are also managing several diverse projects, each months or even years in the making.
One of the most exciting and significant updates on the horizon is the New Sim UI—a project that’s been in the works for some time and is about to change the way you experience iRacing.
Key Features and Functionality
While the New Sim UI will feel familiar in terms of layout, it introduces key enhancements designed to streamline the experience. Upon release in March, you can expect a more intuitive interface, with better organization and usability.
The team’s goal is to maintain the core iRacing experience while adding enhancements such as dynamic maps, customizable UI elements, and the ability to open multiple black boxes for better in-sim management.
Additionally, the garage and utility pages will see a redesign for a more user-friendly experience.
One of the most exciting features will be the integration of telemetry directly in the sim, allowing drivers to monitor performance in real-time during races. The admin interface will also receive a significant upgrade, improving ease of use for race organizers.
The Road Ahead
While the New Sim UI will debut in March 2025, it’s just the beginning. This overhaul will provide the foundation for future updates and additional functionality, like further customization options and more advanced features for drivers and administrators alike.
