iRacing is expanding its experience by introducing a Single Player Career Mode.
This new mode will roll out in two phases, aiming to enhance the game’s appeal to both newcomers and experienced racers looking for structured, offline challenges.
- Phase 1 of this expansion, set for release in 2025, will bring AI Championships to iRacing. In these championships, players can compete in organized events against AI drivers, providing a realistic and immersive environment for offline practice and skill-building. AI Championships will serve as a foundation for the comprehensive career mode expected in Phase 2.
- Phase 2 will introduce a full Career Mode with the elements fans expect in a racing career.
But the most important question is…
Will this Career Mode allow players to start from entry-level races, climb the ranks as they unlock cars, improve skills, and sign with teams?
For now, the Single Player Career Mode aims to meet the growing demand for offline modes in racing games, allowing iRacing to stay competitive with other racing simulators while broadening its audience.
This commitment to continuous improvement highlights iRacing’s dedication to evolving with its community, making this upcoming single player experience an exciting development for the entire sim-racing genre.

IRacing needs to work on their sorry ass excuse for a safety rating and irating system. Try developing that! Instead of polishing a turd. Game is so tired.
Please explain what’s wrong with their SF and iRating or are you just hating because it’s too difficult for little baby…!?
My biggest problem with iRacing is the cost-to-time ratio. If you are like me and only get 5 to 10 hours in every 2 to 3 months, it’s better to just race in other offline sims I already have. Especially when you start working up the ranking in iRacing or new seasons where you need to dish out $15 for a new track or vehicle, above the yearly subscription.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand the cost of laser scanner tracks and importing them into the sim, licensing for tracks and vehicles, wages for employees, etc. And iRacing is great for people who have time to be able to devote to it. Our family life is just too busy to devote enough time to warrant over $100 a year (Canadian prices are 35-40% more than US).
Will this “Single Player Career Mode” aka Offline Mode need an active subscribtion?
As of now you have to pay a fee for the “service/Onlinemode” and on top of that you have to pay for cars and racetracks that are not included with the basegame.
Make your offline made feeless and let me buy my cars and tracks and we can talk.

Ask the Q; and corporate speak as the answer is NOT an answer.
