iRacing’s First Look: Ligier JS P320 Video Preview

LMP3 iracing Ligier

The official Ligier Twitter account has just shared a captivating new video that is generating quite a buzz within the community. This video unveils the highly anticipated arrival of the Ligier JS P320, an LMP3-class car that actively competes in multiple FIA and IMSA endurance championships.

With this introduction, the platform now boasts a complete multi-class experience. However, the division of classes remains to be seen since there is currently no series that encompasses all four categories (LMDh, LMP2, LMP3, GT). While LMP3 is currently included in regional FIA championships such as the Le Mans series in Europe and Asia, as well as the IMSA, it is not yet featured in the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Unveiled during the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ligier JS P320 stands as one of the four cutting-edge chassis selected by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO). As the worthy successor to the Ligier JS P3, it boasts a modern hypercar aesthetic, characterized by the distinctive Ligier front end, making it instantly recognizable.

The Ligier JS P320 retains the revered qualities of its predecessor, the Ligier JS P3, including its renowned durability and ease of handling. Equipped with a new bodywork that is 95% different, Ohlins shock absorbers, a more powerful Nissan V8 VK56 engine, an enhanced cooling system, and aerodynamics optimized for all types of circuits, the Ligier JS P320 aims to surpass the achievements of its older sibling.
