January 2022 PC Sim Racing Build

If last month we gave up on finding graphics, this month we skip from talking about the turbulent and dark graphic-mining market. Even so, there are some individuals who manage to get their hands on one of these investment pieces and use it for what it was originally intended for; gaming. One of our contributors on Spanish streaming has been buying components to build his setup with some of the best equipment that is available globally, even if he didn’t jump on DDR5 board. You can’t be perfect.

So, what do we have under the hood? Well, the best CPU for gaming right now; a powerful Intel i9 12900k that comes with all kinds of goodies like a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD, an 850W Asus Rog power supply, an expensive Asus ROG Ryujin II 360 liquid cooling system, the DDR4 3600 CL1 6 from G-Skill that matches DDR5 with its latency and an RTX 3090 that leaves us without qualifiers. All this connected on an Asus Z690 Rog Strix board and embedded in an Asus Rog Helios case. Needless to say, it can handle absolutely any current or future 2022 game in Ultra quality, maybe even Assetto Corsa Competizione in VR. We’ll have to see it to see if it’s true 😉.
