Le Mans Ultimate, the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans is welcoming a new category, LMGT3. The third 2024 DLC pack goes on sale on December 10th delivering 4 new LMGT3 cars to the game as well as the iconic Brazilian Interlagos circuit. All players will also be able to download the first of 2 LMGT3 cars.
The December update marks the launch of the frequently requested Hosted Server feature, built upon our RaceControl Online service. Players can now configure and run their own Practice, Qualifying and Race events. Furthermore, Online Championships arrive in LMU as part of an expanding service supported by differing subscription tiers. A custom Broadcast Overlay, as well as a variety of quality of life updates, complement our biggest service update thus far.
Revealing the LMGT3 contenders
LMGT3 is the latest category to join the World Endurance Championship, and is arguably the most competitive and closely fort classes. With recognisable and relatable cars, easy to drive/hard to master handling and a long list to choose from, the category is favoured by real world and sim racers alike. Our latest 2024 Season Pack 3 DLC is the introduction to the class, bringing the BMW M4 LMGT3, Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R and Ferrari 296 LMGT3, plus the McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo available to download for free to all early access players of Le Mans Ultimate.
Each car, painstakingly modelled by Studio 397, brings their own unique configuration and driving characteristics. This new class of cars will prove to be an exciting, absorbing challenging that will appeal to new and existing players alike.
But it is not just cars included in 2024 Season Pack 3….
A fan favourite and making a return in 2024 after a 10 year hiatus from the World Endurance Championship, Autódromo José Carlos Pace (or commonly known as Interlagos) joins the Le Mans Ultimate roster of fast and flowing drivers tracks. Laser scanned and featuring the level of detail accustom to S397 tracks, the iconic green, yellow and white kerbs are a rare & special sight in sim racing and we’re delighted to recognise this experience in Le Mans Ultimate.
2024 Season Pack 3 will be available to purchase at an early access price via Steam for just £13.99 / €16.99 / $17.99 on the December 10th. The 2024 DLC Season Pass remains available, allowing players to access the latest content the minute it is ready to be brought into the game. Priced at just £39.99 / €45.99 / $48.99, the Season Pass offers a saving of around 25% compared to purchasing all four packs individually. The 2024 Season Pass bundles together all four packs, which includes the four new 2024 Hypercars, four iconic circuits and seven of the closely matched GT3 cars.
Players who have already purchased the money-saving Season Pass will automatically receive the latest content when they update the game via Steam on the 10th December.
But December is not just about content…
Hosted
Ranked amongst the top requested features since launch, you will now be able to race in organised leagues or just with your friends with the launch of hosted servers. Working with our partners SimGrid to power RaceControl.gg, players will be able to purchase server credits to run their very own race or league with scalable pricing depending on server size from as little as €0.38 per hour (note: local taxes may apply). Servers can be configured via the website, and either displayed in the public lobby list with or without password, or found simply by a 5 character code that will both find the server and enter the password for a user.
Overlay
Together with the ability to host your own server, we are also releasing a spectate mode to the game which allows players to join a server without being a driver and created a broadcast overlay in the FIA World Endurance Championship style so you and your league can broadcast to your preferred streaming platform. The broadcast overlay outputs to HTML outside of the game and can be used as a transparent layer in most streaming tools, such as OBS. As an advanced user feature, there will be a user guide on how to configure it.
Online Championships & Subscriptions
RaceControl Pro is a brand new service designed to elevate the entertainment value for invested Le Mans Ultimate players. Bringing enhanced online competitions, including the frequently requested Online Championship format which enables players to battle through multiple rounds of an ongoing and epic story through multiple seasons. This service provides the ability to register and practice for daily races not in rotation plus enhanced player reporting designed to assist in making racing in our RaceControl led events respectful.
RaceControl Pro is an optional subscription tier which, if purchased through an upfront annual plan, works out at an incredible price €3.50* viewed monthly. A further premium tier, RaceControl Pro+, available for a monthly equivalent of €6.50*, provides players with all of the RaceControl Pro benefits but unlocks all Studio 397 DLC content – yes, for rFactor 2 as well – for as long as their subscription is active. For players looking to gain access to whatever they want when they want, RaceControl Pro+ removes the barriers to the full suite of features and content across all RaceControl connected games, which today means the legendary sandbox simulator rFactor 2 and the more recent still in rapid development Le Mans Ultimate. All previous event types including Daily, Weekly and Special races will remain accessible to all players regardless of subscription level.
Online Championships has been designed for players that want more from their online experience, battling for supremacy in the Le Mans Ultimate ranking tables and having a structure & consistency to their racing schedule. These races are less frequent than daily races, on particular days of the week, across different timezones and with a limited number of attempts per week depending upon the difficulty of the championship. As per other championship modes, players register for the championship and will be required to commit to a particular car throughout the season. We will be using these championships in future to run competitions, including esports series like Le Mans Virtual Series and for our partners.
There are more benefits coming in future – watch this space. To sign up, visit racecontrol.gg or follow one of the in-game links.
