In June, BMW is set to make a significant mark in both the racing and sim racing world. As they commemorate the 25th anniversary of their historic 1999 Le Mans victory with the BMW V12 LMR, BMW will be releasing the M Hybrid V8 LMDh as a free addition to the Le Mans Ultimate
The Iconic 1999 Win with the BMW V12 LMR
The 1999 Le Mans 24 Hours race stands as a landmark in BMW’s motorsport history. The race was a grueling test of endurance, speed, and reliability, held on the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe in France. BMW’s entry, the BMW V12 LMR, was a marvel of engineering, designed to compete in the demanding Le Mans Prototype (LMP) category.
BMW V12 LMR Specifications:
- Engine: 5.0-liter V12
- Power Output: Approximately 580 horsepower
- Weight: Around 900 kg
- Top Speed: Over 200 mph
With the June update, players of Le Mans Ultimate will be able to drive the BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh for free.
