Le Mans Ultimate: More Team Events in the coming weeks

Le Mans Ultimate july 2024

More Team events are on the way for Le Mans Ultimate . The game seems to be rising with the team events feature, and people are eager to get on track with friends to race endurances.

Hi Le Mans Ultimate fans

We wanted to take this opportunity to share an update on our latest major feature – Team Driver Swaps – the testing process so far, features to come and a calendar of races in the coming weeks and months.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has participated in any of our Team Driver Swap team events until now – you’ve raced over 5 million km, done over 25,000 driver swaps in over 180 races! This feature will change how Le Mans Ultimate is played for everyone and open the doors to more regular new and exciting events.

For those who have been taking part, your feedback and reporting of issues before, during and after each event has been invaluable. Our community and dev teams monitor, review and action 100’s of comments and tickets each event which has enabled us to progress the feature and fix bugs as soon as possible.

Additional logging for driver swap bugs has already been implemented and we encourage all players who do experience any issues during test events to continue reporting across support tickets and in this forum thread – Info Required – Driver Swap Bugs MEGATHREAD

We know there are still bugs in the wild to be found and fixes to be tested, which is why we are pleased to share the ‘Team Events’ Calendar for the next 6-8 weeks so you and your team mates can start planning and practicing!

Calendar

  • 24/25/26 October – 12 Hours Spa / LMGT3 (62 car grid)
  • 14/15/16 November – 8 Hours Bahrain / Hypercar & LMGT3 (38 car grid)
  • 28/29/30 November – 24 Hours Le Mans / Hypercar, LMP2, LMGT3 (62 car grid)

Looking ahead to what you can expect from the feature in future – our goal is still, and always has been, to make Hosted Team Events available to players by our next major release later this year. Although development is continuing, this is not the work of a moment so equally we will only do so when we believe it is ready.

We also know a lot of you are still excitedly waiting for our Engineer Mode to be released. After continued testing internally – this complex feature is undergoing significant code changes and therefore doesn’t currently have a release window. We apologise for dangling the carrot for so long and thank you to everyone for their patience – it will be worth the wait!

And finally, we want you to invest in your line ups but also make sure that everyone gets into representative splits even on their first team race so we’ve made an adjustment to how line up DR is calculated. For every race from now on, the splits will be determined by 75% line up DR and 25% of the driver DR.

Thank you all for your continued support and evolving Le Mans Ultimate into the true endurance racing sim!
