Le Mans Ultimate: Peugeot 9X8 Presentation

Peugeot 9X8

Presentation of Peugeot 9X8 in the new game by Studio 397. It is planned to be released by the end of the year.

The 9X8, the pride of Peugeot – the innovative Hypercar from the French manufacturer has hit the Le Mans Ultimate track. First teased on social media on Friday, the unique shape of the 9X8 was too easy to spot for many, with the community eagerly anticipating the first look of the LMH car today (2 October).

The 9X8 is the second Hypercar to be unveiled by Le Mans Ultiamte with the car shown off in its eye-popping, multi-coloured livery which was designed by artist J.Demsky. The livery on the real life car was first seen at Le Mans in June for the special Centenary edition of Le Mans. And that is where fans can see a first glimpse of the virtual version – on the virtual version of Circuit de La Sarthe.

The 9X8 first made its FIA World Endurance Championship debut at Monza in 2022. Fast forward nearly 12 months and the Peugeot team are leading and fighting for the win at Le Mans – before taking a breakthrough podium at the 6 Hours of Monza earlier this year.

The Peugeot like all the FIA WEC cars have been faithfully replicated, ready for inclusion in the upcoming PC-based game. Extra attention to detail has been given to all cars, with the Carbon Fibre wrap showcasing the pitted. ‘orange peel’ effect before the livery is then applied on top – something fresh and new in the sim racing scene. The interior is no different with the Carbon Fibre and Kevlar weaves, immersing the driver in the cockpit of one of the fastest racing cars in the world.

Look out for further images and features this week as we dive deeper into the 9X8 and how the car team build these incredibly awesome cars. Keep your eyes peeled!
