Developer Studio 397 has confirmed that Version 1.4, scheduled for release on July 28, will not only introduce major improvements to the online experience, physics, and competition systems, but will also mark the debut of the highly anticipated US Track Pass, a new content pack that brings some of America’s most iconic racing circuits to the simulator.
In addition to new content, the update introduces significant upgrades to the game’s online infrastructure, enhancements to the protest system, new features for RaceControl Pro and Pro+ subscribers, braking simulation improvements, and a variety of quality-of-life additions.
Daytona and Laguna Seca Headline the US Track Pass
The biggest highlight of the update is the introduction of the American Track Pass, a season pass that will add six U.S. circuits, divided into three packs with two tracks each.

The first release features two legendary American racing venues:
- Daytona International Speedway, one of the world’s most iconic endurance racing circuits and home of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The track has been recreated using laser scanning technology and features official licensing.
- WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, famous for its technical layout and, above all, the legendary Corkscrew corner, widely regarded as one of the most spectacular turns in motorsports.
With these additions, Le Mans Ultimate significantly expands its track roster while offering its first comprehensive representation of American endurance racing.
Each of the three track packs will retail for $19.99, while the complete Season Pass will be available for $44.99, representing approximately a 25% discount compared to purchasing each pack individually. Both the Season Pass and the first track pack will also receive a 10% launch discount during their first week.
RaceControl Pro+ subscribers will automatically receive all US Track Pass content as it becomes available at no additional cost.
A Completely Redesigned Protest System

Version 1.4 also delivers a major improvement to online competition through a complete overhaul of the protest system.
Until now, reviewing each reported incident required several minutes of manual work from race stewards, making it difficult to process hundreds of reports every day. To solve this, Studio 397 has fully integrated protests into the replay system.
Players can now:
- Select the exact moment of the incident directly from the replay.
- Identify the driver involved.
- Add comments directly alongside the incident video.
This streamlined workflow allows stewards to review incidents much faster while providing additional context, resulting in quicker and more informed decisions.
The protest system also introduces several new rules:
- Only intentional wrecking can be reported during standard online events.
- Protests must be submitted within 24 hours.
- The cooldown period between protests has been removed.
- Every player receives three protest credits per month.
- Successful protests automatically refund the credit that was used.
LiveSteward Continues to Evolve
The automated LiveSteward system also receives significant upgrades.
Following its initial rollout and previous improvements, the system continues to reduce false positives while adding new automated rules designed to keep public races running smoothly.
One of the most notable additions automatically sends inactive vehicles back to the garage after remaining stationary for too long, preventing damaged cars from blocking the racing line for multiple laps.
According to Studio 397, LiveSteward has already issued more than 4,500 temporary bans since Version 1.3 was released.
RaceOS and a New Network Protocol Improve Online Racing
One of the least visible—but arguably most important—changes arrives behind the scenes.
Studio 397 has completely rebuilt the online platform around a new proprietary technology called RaceOS, replacing third-party components with infrastructure specifically designed for the Le Mans Ultimate ecosystem.
Every online feature—including driver swaps, championships, dedicated servers, daily races, and RaceControl—will now operate on this new platform.
Alongside RaceOS, the game is also replacing the traditional TCP protocol with Reliable UDP, a networking solution better suited for competitive racing because it reduces latency and improves stability during close wheel-to-wheel battles.
Players who quit races early to avoid damage or penalties will no longer be able to escape the consequences, closing one of the community’s most criticized loopholes.
New Benefits for RaceControl Pro and Pro+

RaceControl Pro and Pro+ subscribers are also receiving several exclusive features.
The biggest addition is the new Event Joker system. Every ten completed races, players earn a Joker that can erase the Driver Rank and Safety Rating penalties from a single event.

The race will still count toward championship standings, but its negative rating impact can be removed. Players may hold up to three Jokers at a time, and they can only be used in single-driver events.
Additionally, Pro and Pro+ members will gain access to new Practice+ Servers, dedicated practice sessions that remain available longer for players who want more preparation time than the standard pre-race schedule provides.
Braking Physics Receive Major Improvements
The physics simulation also sees meaningful improvements.
The brake thermal model has been redesigned to simulate the surface and core temperatures of the brake discs independently, resulting in behavior that more closely matches real-world race cars.
These improvements deliver more consistent and realistic braking performance, particularly for LMP2, LMP3, and several Hypercar models, while laying the foundation for additional physics enhancements in future updates.
More Quality-of-Life Improvements and 2026 Car Updates
Version 1.4 also introduces numerous quality-of-life improvements aimed at making the overall experience more immersive and convenient.
One notable addition affects pit lane procedures at American circuits such as Daytona and Laguna Seca, where cars will now spawn directly in the pit lane when players begin driving, accurately reflecting how WEC teams operate during real race weekends.
Drivers will also be required to merge into the fast lane promptly to avoid penalties.
Studio 397 has also implemented the latest 2026 homologation updates, including the Joker upgrades for both Alpine and Cadillac.
Finally, the update adds full Brazilian Portuguese localization, one of the community’s most requested features and an important expansion of the simulator’s language support.
