Especially in the updates we have seen how errors occur in the loading of tracks or cars. Anyway, if at any time you find one of these errors here are some simple instructions to solve them.
These are triggered if some of its contents (cars or tracks) are not updated, were not updated properly or have been corrupted. You will need to remove and reinstall the parts that are in error.
Loading Error 71
- Go to the installation folder (usually C:Program Files\iRacing, or C:Program Files (x86)iRacing, on 64-bit Windows).
- Go to the “cars” directory.
- Delete the “cars.dat” and “version.txt” files.
- Delete the directory “safety” (you have the safety car).
- Delete the directory of the car you were trying to use (or all the cars in the session if it was a multi-class session).
- Refresh the website and it will tell you that you have updates available.
Install the (now) missing car(s) and the shared data of the car.
Loading Error 72
- Go to the installation folder (usually C:Program Files\iRacing, or C:Program Files (x86)iRacing, on 64-bit Windows).Go to the “tracks” directory.
- Delete the files “tracks.dat” and “version.txt”.
- Delete the directory of the track you were trying to use.
- Refresh the website and it will tell you that you have updates available.
- Install the missing track (now) and the shared track data.
