Low Fuel Motorsport has introduced several updates to its Automobilista 2 series, including alternating schedules for LMP2 and F3, expanding the LFMX series, lowering the World Championship license requirement, and adjusting the Legacy Series and Formula Rookies schedules.
These changes are designed to streamline the racing calendar, increase participation, and provide more opportunities for drivers of all skill levels.
One of the most notable changes is the introduction of an alternating schedule for the LMP2 and F3 series. LMP2 races will now take place on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while F3 races will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The LFMX series, widely regarded as the most successful and well-organized series in LFM, is getting a significant boost. Previously offering four races per day, the series will now feature six daily races.
In a move that could open doors for newer or less experienced drivers, Low Fuel Motorsport has lowered the license requirement for its World Championship series from C2 to C3. This change allows more drivers to participate in the premier series, potentially increasing the diversity of the field.
The Legacy Series and Formula Rookies have also seen adjustments to their schedules. The Legacy Series, which features classic cars and historic tracks, will now run exclusively on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Meanwhile, the Formula Rookies series, designed for newcomers to sim racing, will now take place at even hours and 10 minutes past the hour (e.g., 2:00, 4:00, etc.). The Ginetta series, which remains a favorite among beginners, will continue to run every hour at :30 past the hour.
These changes could attract new players and encourage lapsed drivers to return.
