Motorsport Manager is set to return to PC in 2027, marking the first new desktop entry in the series in over a decade. Developed by Playsport Games, Motorsport Manager 2 promises deeper management systems, an expanded selection of racing disciplines and full mod support from launch.

With Playsport once again leading development on the PC series, the sequel builds on the foundations of the original game rather than reinventing them. Players will manage teams across multiple categories, including Single Seater, GT and Endurance, with additional disciplines expected to be revealed ahead of release.

Playsport describes Motorsport Manager 2 as an evolution of the original management formula. Players once again assume the role of team principal, overseeing driver recruitment, finances, car development, staff management and long-term team strategy.

Building on the systems introduced in the original title, Motorsport Manager 2 expands both race strategy and team management.

According to the developers, AI-controlled teams will react more intelligently to changing race conditions, rival strategies and pit stop decisions. The sequel also introduces a new weather simulation, allowing conditions to vary across different sections of the circuit and creating additional strategic opportunities during races.

The expanded championship roster also increases the variety of gameplay, with confirmed categories including Single Seater, GT and Endurance, while more disciplines will be announced before launch.

One of the biggest additions is official mod support from day one. Community-created content will be available through Steam Workshop, making it easier for players to add new teams, championships and other custom content to the game.

PC system requirements and playtest access

Playsport has also published the game’s preliminary PC system requirements. The minimum specifications include an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX-8370 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280X graphics card with 16 GB of available storage.

Although an exact launch date has yet to be announced, Motorsport Manager 2 is scheduled to release on Steam in 2027, with a full gameplay showcase planned for this autumn.
