The Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team are once again competing in the elite class of simulation racing and have their sights firmly set on claiming the grand prize.
The ESL R1 series debuted last year and Porsche were part of the inaugural line-up alongside other top manufacturers and professional eSports teams.
The Porsche team will undoubtedly fancy their chances of making history by claiming victory at the inaugural eSports World Cup.
Australian driver Joshua Rogers is the standout performer on the Porsche roster and announced himself on the big stage by winning the final race of the 2023 season in Jonkoping, Sweden.
Porsche have reinforced their team in a bid to retain the ESL R1 title, adding several experienced drivers to the line-up.
Charlie Collins has replaced Mack Bakkum, while Elvis Rankin joins as a reserve driver. Mitchell de Jong from the United States and Australia’s Dayne Warren complete the Porsche line-up.
The season kicked off with promising results as Porsche secured two quarter-final race wins. At the virtual Daytona International Speedway, Collins finished eighth and Rogers secured eleventh, placing Porsche fourth in the overall standings.
The second race saw De Jong represent the team in the top-twelve finale and they maintained their fourth-place position.
Rogers will be among the favourites for the eSports World Cup final in Riyadh, and his presence there will spark massive interest in the Australian betting community.

Mercedes-AMG Team Williams eSports has peeled back the curtain on their 2024 campaign, sporting a brand-new look to mark a fresh chapter in the team’s virtual journey.
Williams are keen to build on a stellar debut season peppered with podium finishes, pole positions and multiple victories.
They became the first team to achieve two wins last year with all four drivers reaching a final round. This dominance secured them qualification for both Majors and a well-deserved third-place finish in the Winter Season team standings.
Williams kicked off the 2024 season firing on all cylinders, rocketing to the top of the Team’s Championship leaderboard after round one with an impressive 166 points.
However, a technical glitch in the second round at Orchard Road hit them hard. Despite securing a hard-fought podium finish, Daire McCormack’s final run was cut short, resulting in a drop to third place in the overall standings.
McCormack already boasts a reputation as a force to be reckoned with so it’s unsurprising that he retains his place on the Williams roster after a show-stopping performance last season.
He graced the top step of the podium throughout Spring, Winter and Mid-Season events, narrowly missing out on the coveted Drivers’ title by finishing third.
Dennis Schoniger, Dominik Blajer and Daniel Pasztor are the other drivers on the roster but Williams now have their work cut out to reclaim the top spot with Team Redline and Team Vitality forging ahead.
Team Redline are aiming for another successful campaign after emerging as the 2023 champions and have wasted no time establishing themselves as a dominant force.
They sit at the top of the Team Championship rankings after accumulating 337 points. Redline leads Vitality by a whopping 106 points and are 125 points ahead of Williams in third.
