MOZA Teases First PlayStation 5 Compatible Wheelbase

MOZA Racing has provided the first look at its upcoming PlayStation 5-compatible wheelbase, confirming that more details will be revealed around Tokyo Game Show 2026. The teaser was published on September 11 and marks another major step in MOZA’s expansion into the PlayStation and Gran Turismo ecosystem.

The teaser shows a darkened image of a new MOZA wheelbase alongside official PlayStation 5 branding. MOZA stopped short of revealing the product name or specifications, instead telling followers that the wait is “almost over” and pointing directly toward Tokyo Game Show 2026.

For MOZA, this represents an important expansion. The manufacturer’s existing direct-drive wheelbases have primarily targeted PC, while Xbox compatibility is currently available through products such as the R3 Racing Bundle and compatible licensed steering wheels.

MOZA’s own support documentation still states that its existing wheelbase range does not officially support PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, meaning the upcoming hardware will establish a new product category within the company’s sim racing ecosystem.

MOZA’s PlayStation Plans Started With Gran Turismo

The PlayStation project itself is not entirely unexpected. On July 28, 2026, MOZA Racing became an official peripheral partner of the Gran Turismo World Series.

At the time, Polyphony Digital confirmed that MOZA was working with Gran Turismo on a new steering wheel controller designed to offer native support for Gran Turismo 7.

MOZA also stated that products developed under the official PlayStation licensing program would work with PlayStation 5, subject to final product approval from Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The September teaser is therefore the clearest look yet at the hardware resulting from MOZA’s move into the PlayStation ecosystem.

The image appears to show the front of a direct-drive wheelbase with integrated lighting and a PlayStation logo. Its styling has already prompted comparisons with other recent MOZA bases, but MOZA has not confirmed whether this is a PlayStation version of an existing model or an entirely new wheelbase.

For now, its torque output and internal hardware also remain unknown.

Full Reveal Expected Around Tokyo Game Show 2026

MOZA has tied the teaser to Tokyo Game Show 2026, which takes place at Makuhari Messe in Japan from September 17 through September 21. That makes the event the likely venue for additional information about the wheelbase, although MOZA has not yet specified an exact reveal time.

Several major questions therefore remain unanswered:

• The official product name.
• Maximum direct-drive torque.
• Price.
• Release and preorder dates.
• Whether it will be sold individually or as part of a complete bundle.
• Compatibility with MOZA’s existing steering wheels, pedals and accessories when used on PlayStation 5.
• Whether additional PlayStation-compatible wheelbases are planned.

That final compatibility point could be particularly important. MOZA already offers an extensive ecosystem of steering wheels, pedals, shifters and other sim racing peripherals, but the company has not yet detailed which existing products will work with the new PlayStation hardware when connected to a PS5.

Likewise, while MOZA’s collaboration with Gran Turismo confirms native Gran Turismo 7 support is part of the project, no complete list of compatible PlayStation racing games has been announced.

What is confirmed is that MOZA is preparing to enter the native PlayStation 5 sim racing hardware market, expanding beyond its established PC and Xbox presence.

More concrete specifications should become available as Tokyo Game Show approaches, but until MOZA provides those details, reports identifying the new unit as a specific existing wheelbase or assigning it a torque figure should be treated as speculation.
