MOZA R5S Pro and R16S Ultra Target Late 2026 PS5 Release

MOZA Racing’s first PlayStation 5 Direct Drive products could reach the market before the end of 2026. Reports from the MOZA booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026 indicate that the new R5S Pro and R16S Ultra are currently planned for release toward the end of the year. MOZA itself has not yet announced a specific launch date or pricing, and the company continues to state that its PlayStation products remain subject to final product approval from Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The report provides the clearest indication yet of when MOZA could begin selling its first officially licensed PlayStation racing hardware. Until now, MOZA’s official Tokyo Game Show announcement had only confirmed that pricing, availability and the final launch date would be disclosed at a later stage.

Game8 published its report on September 19 following coverage and an interview at MOZA’s Tokyo Game Show booth. The Japanese publication describes both the R5S Pro and R16S Ultra as currently planned for release around the end of 2026.

That timing has not yet been added to MOZA’s official announcement or TGS product page, so it should be treated as a reported target rather than a confirmed retail date.

MOZA PS5 Hardware Could Arrive Before the End of 2026

MOZA officially unveiled its PlayStation lineup at Tokyo Game Show with three product configurations:

• MOZA R5S Pro Racing Simulator
• MOZA R16S Ultra Racing Simulator
• MOZA R16S Ultra Direct Drive Wheel Base

The R5S Pro Racing Simulator is positioned as the more accessible complete package, combining a Direct Drive wheelbase, steering wheel and pedals. The R16S Ultra Racing Simulator moves further up the range, while the standalone R16S Ultra wheelbase gives existing or more experienced users greater flexibility when assembling a complete setup.

Game8’s report describes the R5S Pro as the entry-oriented option and the R16S Ultra as the higher-performance model. Most importantly, it states that both are currently scheduled to arrive around the end of 2026.

No specific month or day is given. A late-2026 target could therefore mean anything within the final part of the year unless MOZA subsequently provides a narrower release window.

MOZA Still Has Not Announced Pricing or Final Specifications

Despite the new reported release window, several major details remain unknown.

MOZA has not announced pricing for either PlayStation product. The company has also not published complete technical specifications for the R5S Pro or R16S Ultra through its official TGS announcement.

The names are clearly related to MOZA’s existing PC hardware, but specifications from the current R5 Pro or R16 Ultra should not automatically be assigned to the PlayStation products until MOZA confirms them. That means torque output, detailed electronics, bundle contents beyond the general descriptions, accessory compatibility and regional pricing should still be considered unconfirmed.

MOZA’s official position remains that additional information covering pricing, availability and the official launch date will be announced later.

Native Gran Turismo 7 Support Is Confirmed

One major detail is already official. MOZA’s PlayStation lineup is being developed with native Gran Turismo 7 support through its collaboration with Polyphony Digital.

The partnership follows MOZA becoming an official Gran Turismo World Series peripheral partner earlier in 2026. At Tokyo Game Show, the company is publicly demonstrating its first officially licensed PlayStation racing products as part of its wider move into console sim racing.

MOZA says its PS5 lineup will support Gran Turismo 7 from launch alongside a growing selection of compatible racing titles.

That gives the new hardware a significantly different position from MOZA’s existing PC wheelbases. Current products such as the regular R5 Pro, R9, R12 and R16 Ultra should not be treated as natively compatible with PlayStation 5 simply because the new licensed products share elements of MOZA’s wider ecosystem.

Sony Final Approval Is Still Required

There is another important qualification attached to the entire lineup.

MOZA states that the R5S Pro Racing Simulator, R16S Ultra Racing Simulator and R16S Ultra Direct Drive Wheel Base are being developed under the official PlayStation licensing program and will work with PS5 subject to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s final product approval.

That disclaimer is also visible on the hardware displayed at Tokyo Game Show.

It does not mean the products are expected to fail certification, but it does mean the development and approval process is not formally complete. Until that process is finished, a reported late-2026 target should not be treated as a guaranteed launch deadline.

This could also explain why MOZA has not yet opened preorders or published final pricing.

What We Know About the MOZA PS5 Launch

MOZA’s PlayStation Launch Is Getting Closer

The new report significantly narrows the possible timeline for MOZA’s entry into the PlayStation ecosystem. If the current target holds, the R5S Pro and R16S Ultra could move from their Tokyo Game Show public debut to retail availability within the final months of 2026.

However, the distinction between the report and MOZA’s official communication remains important. MOZA has not yet formally announced a late-2026 launch date, and its own product pages continue to ask customers to subscribe for future pricing and availability information.

The next major milestones should therefore be Sony’s final product approval, complete specifications, regional pricing and the opening of orders.

For now, Tokyo Game Show provides the strongest indication yet that PlayStation users may not have to wait until 2027 to enter the MOZA ecosystem but a final launch date is still pending.
