Nacon Revolution 5 Unlimited PS5 Controller Launches October 21

Nacon Revolution 5 Unlimited PS5 Controller

NACON has revealed the Revolution 5 Unlimited, a new premium controller officially licensed for PlayStation 5 that combines an integrated control screen, TMR magnetic sticks and configurable dual-mode triggers. The controller launches on October 21, 2026, with pre-orders already open.

The Revolution 5 Unlimited, or R5U, becomes the latest model in NACON’s competitive Revolution range and is also compatible with PC. NACON describes its integrated control screen as a world-first for an officially licensed PS5 controller, allowing players to change important settings directly from the gamepad without opening external software.

The display can be used to adjust stick sensitivity and dead zones, remap buttons and shortcuts, manage profiles and control the game/chat audio mix. NACON has also introduced TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) magnetic technology to its joysticks, designed to provide contactless operation, improved precision and reduced mechanical wear.

One feature particularly relevant to racing games is the R5U’s dual-mode trigger system. The triggers can use smooth Hall-effect analog travel for progressive throttle and brake control, while a mechanical instant-trigger mode shortens the movement for games where rapid inputs are more important.

The controller also includes seven programmable shortcuts, microswitch action buttons, a six-axis gyroscope and interchangeable physical components. Players can change stick caps, stick travel rings and D-pad designs, while removable weights allow the overall feel of the controller to be adjusted.

On PC, NACON specifies a 1,000 Hz polling rate and 1 ms latency in its dedicated PC mode. The controller supports wired and wireless operation and includes a 2.4 GHz adapter, headset connection, carrying case and a new magnetic charging dock with USB pass-through for the wireless receiver.

Price and Release Date

The NACON Revolution 5 Unlimited is scheduled for release on October 21, 2026. NACON announced suggested pricing of €199.99, $229.99 and £179.99, although its European online store currently lists the controller at €199.90.

It sits at the premium end of the PS5 controller market, with its main distinction being the ability to change settings directly through the integrated display. For racing players who still prefer a gamepad, the combination of configurable analog triggers and magnetic sticks could also make the R5U particularly relevant for titles such as Gran Turismo 7 and other controller-friendly racing games.

See you on the track!
