NASCAR 26 officially launches today, September 18, 2026, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by iRacing Studios, the new game expands on NASCAR 25 with Dynamic Track technology, cross-platform multiplayer, revised driving physics, improved Force Feedback calibration, The Chase, an expanded Career Mode and new circuits including Naval Base Coronado, Chicagoland Speedway and St. Petersburg.
The full release follows three days of Early Access for Gold Edition owners, which began on September 15. NASCAR 26 is available as a $59.99 Standard Edition and a $79.99 Gold Edition, with the latter including additional downloadable content and bonuses.
NASCAR 26 continues iRacing Studios’ development of the official NASCAR console and PC franchise following NASCAR 25. The new release retains four major championships while making substantial changes to how the cars, circuits and multiplayer systems behave.
NASCAR 26 Price, Platforms and Editions
NASCAR 26 is available on current-generation consoles and PC, with no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version announced.
| Edition | Price | Release |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $59.99 | September 18, 2026 |
| Gold Edition | $79.99 | Early Access from September 15, 2026 |
Both editions are available for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Gold Edition owners received three days of Early Access alongside the Season Pass, four monthly paint scheme DLC packs covering September through December, 1,000 Career Mode reputation points and $10,000 in Career Mode bonus money.
Kyle Larson, the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series champion, appears as the NASCAR 26 cover driver.
Dynamic Track Is One of NASCAR 26’s Biggest Changes

One of NASCAR 26’s headline additions is Dynamic Track technology. Track conditions can now evolve over the course of a race weekend instead of remaining completely static, with rubber buildup and changing grip becoming part of the driving experience.
The system is derived from iRacing Studios’ simulation technology and is intended to make track evolution a more important part of racing. Cars running repeatedly over the surface contribute to the changing racing line, adding another variable to practice, qualifying and race sessions.
NASCAR 26 also introduces an improved driving model with revised tire and braking behavior. NASCAR and iRacing Studios have additionally confirmed enhanced calibration tools for controls and Force Feedback, an area that received particular attention following NASCAR 25.
Early wheel impressions during the Gold Edition access period have generally suggested more track detail and improved steering feel compared with the previous game. However, performance can vary significantly between wheelbases and platforms, and broader testing is still required before drawing definitive conclusions about Force Feedback across different hardware ecosystems.
Four NASCAR Series Return
NASCAR 26 includes all four of the national series represented in NASCAR 25:
- NASCAR Cup Series
- NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series
- NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
- ARCA Menards Series
Real drivers from each championship are included, with updated ratings produced using NASCAR Racing Insights data. NASCAR 26 also allows those driver ratings to be customized, giving players more control over the relative performance of the AI field.
The game introduces the Ram truck alongside updated cars, paint schemes and other 2026-season content. Improvements have also been made to AI behavior, particle effects, smoke, debris and visible rubber accumulation.
Cross-Platform Multiplayer Arrives

Another major addition is cross-platform multiplayer. NASCAR 26 allows players across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to compete within the same multiplayer ecosystem.
That is an important change for the online community, removing the platform separation that previously divided available player populations. NASCAR 26 also includes the expected Quick Race and Championship options alongside Career and multiplayer.
The game introduces a new standalone mode built around The Chase, providing another championship format outside the main Career Mode.
Career Mode Gets Another Expansion
Career Mode has also been developed further for NASCAR 26. Players can progress through the four included series while building their team, improving facilities and managing upgrades.
A new facilities system adds another layer to progression, while updated team management and Career Mode systems build on the structure introduced with NASCAR 25.
NASCAR 26 also introduces Peak Performance, a new training mode featuring former NASCAR Cup Series driver Jamie McMurray. The system allows players to work on their driving and compare performance data as part of a more structured training experience.
Other additions include a trophy room, safety violations, DNFs, an improved Paint Kit and burnout celebrations.
New Tracks Include Coronado, Chicagoland and St. Petersburg

The circuit roster also expands with several additions. Three of the most notable are:
- Qualcomm Circuit at Naval Base Coronado
- Chicagoland Speedway
- St. Petersburg
Naval Base Coronado is particularly notable because it represents NASCAR’s 2026 San Diego street event, bringing the temporary military-base circuit into the game.
Chicagoland returns as an oval venue, while St. Petersburg expands the road-course selection. As with the rest of NASCAR 26’s circuit content, iRacing Studios has emphasized the use of its existing track data and simulation technology to improve accuracy.
Wheel and Force Feedback Support Still Needs Testing
For sim racing users, hardware compatibility remains one of the most important areas to watch following the full launch. NASCAR 26 officially includes enhanced control and Force Feedback calibration, but a comprehensive model-by-model compatibility list covering all major wheel ecosystems is still needed.
Fanatec, Logitech, Thrustmaster, MOZA and SIMAGIC users are now beginning to test the final release across PC and consoles. The experience may differ considerably depending on platform, wheelbase firmware and both in-game and manufacturer-side settings.
There are also outstanding questions around features such as clutch support, H-pattern shifters and manufacturer-specific technologies such as Logitech TRUEFORCE. Those features should be confirmed individually rather than assumed from basic wheel recognition.
The release of the Standard Edition should provide a much larger testing pool than the three-day Gold Edition Early Access period, making the coming days particularly important for establishing recommended wheel settings and hardware compatibility.
NASCAR 26 Is Available Now
NASCAR 26 marks the second full NASCAR title developed by iRacing Studios and puts significantly more of the studio’s simulation technology into the mainstream NASCAR series.
Dynamic Track, revised tire and braking behavior, improved control and Force Feedback calibration and cross-platform multiplayer are the changes most relevant to sim racing users. The expanded Career Mode, The Chase and Peak Performance broaden the package beyond the driving model itself.
With the Standard Edition officially launching on September 18, 2026, NASCAR 26 is now entering its full release phase on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The next important step will be establishing how the revised physics and Force Feedback perform across a much wider selection of racing wheels and Direct Drive hardware.
