A few hours ago, iRacing has confirmed in its forum that they are preparing a series with the Mercedes F1 that has just arrived in a calendar that resembles this 2022, the iRacing Grand Prix Tour. While we know that not all the circuits of the real calendar are in iRacing, we have more than half of them to meet the calendar. The calendar will consist of 23 races (just like the real one) and 12 races will be in the correct circuits, while the other 11 races will be in circuits similar to the ones we would play.
This series will have two formats, open and fixed, and will be licensed under C (or D +4), which will make it a very attractive series for Formula 1 lovers as it will have a broader focus than the normal series. In addition, they will feature the new rule of using two different tire compounds that will arrive next season.

Undoubtedly, iRacing wants to exploit to the maximum the content it has, and added to the great hype that is having this beginning of the 2022 season, they do not want to be left behind.
