In a new video, in which we see some hidden shots of the new wheel, Thrustmaster has revealed its release date, which will be April 20 (not ’90) 2021, and with that we can perhaps speculate on the price of this new hardware add-on.
At first glance it would appear that there is a carbon fibre panel and some metal switches, with guarded buttons, an LED strip and a screen of at least 4 inches. If all the materials are what they promise, it’s going to be hard to keep the price below 200 euros, but it’s also unclear what direction they’re going in with this release.
After a year of huge profits for Fanatec’s Podium line, it remains to be seen how many of its competitors in the mainstream market will try to break new ground at this performance and price level.
