No Trading Paints support for Mercedes-AMG F1 W12

For those designers this will be tough news, as there will (as many feared) be no support for third party paintwork on tradingpaints.com for the time being.

While we’re quite excited to turn laps in a current-day Formula 1 car on our favorite sim, iRacing will not offer an official painting template for this vehicle. Per their agreement with the manufacturer, custom paints are not supported, and you won’t be able to upload paints to Trading Paints for this car.

The agreement signed by iRacing and Mercedes-AMG for the representation of the vehicle allows only the generation of skins (liveries, livery, etc) and change of colors through the UI, and for many this is a huge limitation as it means having to make all the changes blindly without being clear where the panels begin and end or where certain elements are colored.

Not supporting tradingpaints leaves visually limited to the official series, although in closed leagues it is expected that everyone can exchange files and get something like a commercial grid.
